Omar Ahmad was appointed Chief Executive Officer in September 2024. He brings deep experience in equities, foreign exchange markets, and managing family offices. Moreover, he has a proven track record in strategic investment.
Hamza Choudhry joined as Chief Financial Officer in September 2024. He brings substantial expertise in finance and accounting. In addition, he has worked with multinational corporations and advised family offices on financial strategy.
Azib has covered the financial sector since 2006, most recently Executive Director in Equity Research at E&P Financial Group. Prior to that he was lead equity analyst at Morgans for seven years covering the financial sector.
Azib began his career as an Actuarial Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, consulting to banks and general insurers. Azib is an Associate of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (AIAA) and has a Bachelor of Commerce – Actuarial Studies from Macquarie University.
Brian Chu brings extensive experience in finance, investment analysis, and academia. He is the Founding Director of the Australian Gold Fund and Precious Metals Editor at Fat Tail Investment Research, with prior roles in actuarial consulting.
Brian began his career in actuarial consulting and later transitioned into academia. He served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Finance and Financial Modelling at SP Jain College of Global Management. Importantly, he has also contributed to the development of university-level finance and actuarial courses in Australia.
He holds a Master of Commerce (Actuarial Studies), a Bachelor of Applied Finance, and a Bachelor of Commerce (Actuarial Studies) from Macquarie University. Brian was an Associate of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia from 2006 to 2021.
Committees
The Board considers that the Company is not currently of a size—nor are its affairs of such complexity—to justify the formation of separate committees at this time. Nevertheless, the Board as a whole addresses the governance responsibilities across the full scope of the Company’s activities. Consequently, it ensures adherence to appropriate ethical and operational standards.
